AKA “CATBIRD’s MOST SHOCKING AND CONTROVERSIAL TUMBLR POST EVER”
People, Shake Shack is NOT EVEN CLOSE to being “best burger in the City.” I’d say it’s barely in the Top 10, if even.

Yeah, I have to agree. While SS may be my favorite burger in the city, it’s not THAT much better than say, Good Burger 6 blocks south, which you can eat without any line.

No. No, Jeff, no. Yes, the lines at that place are manageable, but mainly because they offer a vastly inferior product. I’ve only been to the Good Burger once, but I’m very confident saying that the cheeseburger I had there was one of the most dreadful cheeseburgers I’ve ever had in my life. It was overpriced, and the sandwich could best be described as flavorless overcooked protein matter on a roll, topped with hot garbage. I could only recommend Good Burger to a person who is trying to convince themself to never eat a hamburger again in their life. (Kinda like the “scared straight” of burger joints.)  If you desire a cheeseburger in the Flatiron/Union Square zone, you have probably a dozen decent non-Shack options. GOOD BURGER IS NOT ONE OF THEM.

Yeah, I’d say it’s a toss-up between Burger Joint and Corner Bistro, who probably gets a slight edge because of the bacon-fried fries.  DuMont on a REALLY good day is up there too.
